The “Drip Drop” Project started with the interest in making environmental influences and materials playpartners for musical expression. As one result, an analogue drum machine emerged in the process of experimenting with water. Therefore water from bottles, turned upside down and put in a frame, runs through small tubes that can be opened or closed manually. Different lengths influence the rhythm of the water drops that hit several types of membranes. These sounds are picked up by contact-microphones and are digitally processed to light up the bottles by a projection corresponding to the rhythm of the drops. This drum machine thus brings together a fluid latency implicit to water and the attempt of the performer to mix the different rhythmical water drop streams.

Tact immediately borrows the boredom of what you have already heard and allows you to taste the weariness of the tact that will follow in advance. So we sip, tact-by-tact, two or three kinds of real boredom and always wait for the extraordinary sensation, which nevercomes.

Organic material is not always the same, so a tree, when hit with a stick, has a different sound at each point of its trunk.The timbres, tones and volumes of natural elements can vary infinitely. The rushing of the wind through the woods, the flowing of the brooks towards the valley are all ambient sounds of nature.The sounds of nature have a recognizable shape and quality are different every moment.
